Seriously disillusioned
Saturday March 5, 2005
I am, dangit. I waited 2+ weeks to get my Dreambox converter from Hong Kong so I could use my PSX-based custom-built arcade controllers with Street Fighter Anniversary Collection.
They arrived today.
I was SO excited, as was my son. We plugged them in, anticipating great times. We watched the joystick working correctly. Excitement mounted. I pressed the “start” button on my controller. The game started. And then it asked me to press “A”. And that’s when I discovered that my controllers don’t work with the converters with the Xbox for SFAC.
Crap.
Another $50 down the drain.
It would seem from others’ comments that this is a problem particular to this game. Capcom, oh Capcom, why would you do this???
I’ve e-mailed the LikSang folks for help. Here’s hoping there’s a workaround.
I’ve e-mailed Capcom for help also.
Right, so no help from Capcom. They said to contact the Dreambox guys for help. I can’t find contact info for the Dreambox guys tho. Bummy.
I think I will probably end up finding and buying another couple of cheap PS2 analog controllers and modding them into my arcade sticks.
