KDE, Bible Quiz, and those neato Subway bun toasters

Yesterday was a long day, in which my eldest daughter and her Teen Bible Quiz team came in first place in their third match!! I am SO proud of my team!! As their coach, I was nervous about the match yesterday, and in spots, it was VERY close. But my girls pulled through and were rewarded for all the hard work they’ve put in over the last 5 weeks. =:)

Today, my younger 2 kiddos are having a practice Junior Bible Quiz session for 4 and a half hours. =:) Another long day. =:) But it is really rewarding watching them–seeing what great children I have and what great little people they are growing up (too quickly) to be!! They have their 3rd match next Saturday, so that again will be a long day, but also big in the tiring-but-very-rewarding category!!

And in much-less important news (but it was my first thought in creating this entry, so the title shall remain =:) ), I am still loving KDE. If you’ll join me in your not-so-wayback machine, I have recently switched back to KDE after a self-imposed Gnome-only exile. Well, it’s been more than 2 solid months now, using only KDE apps, and I’m still loving it. I am constantly pleasantly surprised with the thoughtful, featureful, well-done design and execution in KDE and its comprising applications.

Also, we of the Kasper clan are giving Blockbuster’s new online movie rental dealio a try-out. They have a 2-week free trial going, so I’ll see how we like it and report back promptly, sir.

That’s all.

Consider yourself updated.
