Dude, I cannot tell you how much I miss you. =:( You were the wind beneath my wings… er… um… well, that is to say that you always made my day, made me smile, and in general made it fun to go to work–something that’s sorely lacking in my life just now. =:/

I miss our basketball, and honestly, your good geek humor. I don’t have a good outlet for my geek humor these days. 
Lol. Mike, first off, I think that I can come up with far more embarassing tokens of emotional blackmail than that…. =;) I cannot tell you how much of a kick I got out of seeing your drunken debauchery… er… I mean… surprise birthday party for Liz… pictures. Definitely put a smile on the old chops. =:)
And yeah, I guess you’re right about things taking time to re-build. It’s just really, really hard starting over. I underestimated that. When we did this from San Diego to Harrisburg, I really didn’t have any kind of support network–no close friends at all. I didn’t realize how big of an impact that makes once you finally have one and then find it missing.
And all I can say is… you’re going to have one heck of a drive to get up here with yer mad 21 skillz and help me show the New Englanders how it’s really done…. =:)

You know me, so it will not shock you to know that that particular picture was taken well before any “drunken debauchery” took place.
I have to say that I consider re-posting obnoxious pictures of myself on your blog something akin to emotional blackmale. But I can admit in all honesty that I miss you as well, especially on the sunny could’ve-been-b-ball days.
I remember how hard it was for me to re-build my support network after moving away. It takes a lot of time and it can be difficult in a completely new surrounding. But you’ll get there. Almost as certain as me playing ugly in a game of 21, things will start to pick up once you feel a little more settled.
